Nemo Quality Testing solution integrates advanced and cost-effective solutions for voice, video streaming, and video call quality measurements in the air interface of CDMA, GSM,  WCDMA, TD-SCDMA, and UMA networks.

Each solution not only provides you with all the relevant quality metrics, but also produces a complete set of IP, network and application level metrics, ensuring that the reason in the air interface for less than satisfactory Mean Opinion Scores (MOS) can always be found.

Voice quality drive and walk testing
Nemo Outdoor is a laptop-based drive test tool that combines cost-efficiency with superior performance, and supports multiple simultaneous measurements on all major network technologies and on over 200 different terminals and scanners. Nemo Outdoor you to perform fixed-to-mobile, mobile-to-mobile and simultaneous mobile-to-mobile voice quality benchmarking and optimization measurements based on PESQ, the ITU P.862.1 compliant Perceptual Evaluation of Speech Quality algorithm provided under license by Psytechnics.

Nemo Handy is a pocket-sized measurement solution that provides you with thorough air interface measurement and application testing capability, and the best real-time data visualization on the handheld market. Nemo Handy enables handset-based mobile-to-mobile and mobile-to-fixed uplink voice quality benchmarking and optimization measurements based on PESQ and downlink based on Psytechnics’ PSM Mobile algorithm. PSM Mobile is an objective, non-intrusive (passive) testing technique which correlates very accurately with PESQ.

Video streaming quality drive and walk testing
Nemo Outdoor and Nemo Handy enable the measurement of video streaming quality with based on Psytechnics’ Video IP Monitor algorithm PVI. PVI is a non-intrusive, non-reference method for measuring video quality by analyzing the video stream IP packet flow. The characteristics of the IP stream, such as packet loss and jitter, and the behavior of the jitter buffer and the error concealment algorithm in the terminal are used to assess the MOS score. Properties of the stream, such as video format and bandwidth, are also taken into account. IP and network level diagnostics are also recorded to pinpoint reasons and problems behind the MOS score.

Automated voice and video streaming quality measurements
Nemo Autonomous is a proven and cost-effective tool for performing automated long-term drive testing and benchmarking measurements on the air interface of wireless networks. Nemo Autonomous enables automated mobile-to-mobile and mobile-to-fixed uplink voice quality benchmarking and optimization measurements based on PESQ and downlink based on Psytechnics’ PSM Mobile algorithm. Nemo Autonomous enables the measurement of video streaming quality with based on Psytechnics’ Video IP Monitor algorithm PVI.

Video call quality
Nemo Outdoor enables the assessment of the quality of video calls based on VQI, Anite’s Video Quality Index algorithm. VQI is a non-intrusive, proprietary algorithm designed for measuring the downlink video quality of video telephony calls. It has been designed upon the fact that most of the video quality degradation is caused by errors in data transmission. VQI is calculated in real-time during measurement with Nemo Outdoor, and stored into the log file along with standard network parameters and signaling information. VQI algorithm is based on H.233 metrics, including H.233 Frame Error Rate (FER) and H.233 frame rate monitored from the 3G-324M protocol stack of the handset. Subjectively graded video material, collected in extensive test campaigns in various live 3G networks, has been compared to H.233 metrics to build an algorithm that translates these errors into a video quality index value.

Post-processing quality measurements
Nemo Analyze is a fully scalable, high-performance drive test data post-processing and analysis solution with best-in-class data visualization. Nemo Analyze provides you with, for instance, the following quality-related KPIs: 
• Voice (MOS, Call events and statistics: attempt/failure/success/disconnect/dropped, Call setup time, End-to-end call setup time)
• Video Call (MOS, Call events and statistics: attempt/failure/success/disconnect/dropped, Call setup time, End-to-end call setup time)
• Video streaming (MOS, Packet error rate, Jitter, Events and statistics: Streaming request/request failed/rebuffering/successfully completed/successfully started, Streaming initial buffering time, Streaming service access time, Streaming service access time to buffering, Streaming session time)
